A homestay - a local family immersion experience
Homestays provide students with an unequaled experience, helping them take the language skills they develop in class and apply them in everyday life. They also provide students with a unique window in to Ecuadorian life, customs, and culture. All homes are within walking distance or a short bus ride to the university. Students share three meals per day with their family (breakfast, lunch, and dinner), and are provided with a private room. All homes are inspected and hand selected by El Nomad staff.
El Nomad maintains relationships with upper middle class families who have an interest in sharing their culture and family life with international students and assisting them in improving their language skills. All of our home stay houses are located in safe neighborhoods and are personally selected by the owners of El Nomad.
Private Accommodation
For faculty and non-traditional students, El Nomad offers accommodation in a small, private apartment as an alternative to a home-stay. It is a one-bedroom, fully furnished apartment with a private entrance, cooking facilities, bathroom, and bedroom.
