Volunteer Vacations

The Experience
A volunteer vacation through El Nomad combines the fun and excitement of being in a new country with the true reward of giving your time and energy to those in need.
We combine excursions to places like Cajas National Park, Ingapirca Ruins, the Ecuadorian coast, Banos de Auga Santa (Banos de Ambato), community tourism, and other cultural activities with a service project of your choice. We pride ourselves on connecting you with service projects that existed before you arrive and will continue after you leave. El Nomad does not create projects specifically for groups or individuals, but rather plugs in to existing social projects developed and run by locals.
How Long Will My Experience Last?
Since our programs are completely customizable, the duration of your program is completely up to you. El Nomad can accommodate experiences as short as one week or as long as the entire summer.
What Will it Cost?
The cost of your program will vary depending on the length of your program, your accommodation selection (home-stay, hotel, or private apartment), if you choose to take Spanish classes, and the number and type of tours you select. Please contact us with your ideal program and we will gladly send you a program outline and a price quote for your experience.
What Could I do?
El Nomad offers all types of volunteer experiences. Some examples include:
- Assisting with monkey rehabilitation and release programs
- Working with children at an orphanage
- Working on an organic garden on a rural farm
- Replanting Mangroves in a national park
- Assisting in classrooms at a local school
