Program Options
Year round, semester and quarter study abroad, J-Term, summer language and culture, and gap year programs are all available with El Nomad’s international immersion programs. Each one of these program options will help solidify your Spanish language in real-life situations and help you gain practical skills. We also offer customized group and faculty-led programs in most degree fields and for students of any age and language ability.

In addition to our more academic-focused programs we offer short- and long-term volunteer vacations and community tourism packages for individuals, families, and groups, as well as day tour options for those who are looking to enhance a more independent travel experience.
Spanish Classes
Today, almost 500 million people worldwide speak Spanish, making it the world’s third most spoken language. Spanish classes in Cuenca, Ecuador with El Nomad’s certified and experienced Spanish teachers will help build your language base or improve the Spanish you already know.
International Internship/Volunteer Positions
An international internship or volunteer position is a way to get an edge in the workplace, increase your Spanish language skills, and introduce you to a new culture and ways of thinking. Gain work experience with a local Ecuadorian business or donate your time with a local NGO or nonprofit organization through El Nomad Immersion Programs, Ecuador’s international internships and volunteer positions. Volunteer experiences are included with our year round, semester and quarter study abroad, summer language and culture, and gap year programs. However, if you are looking just to volunteer or intern we offer an option for this as well.
Accommodation
El Nomad Immersion Programs, Ecuador offers a variety of accommodation options (homestay, private accommodation, and hostels). Our homestay option is an excellent accommodation choice no matter if you are backpacking, touring, vacationing, or looking for a new way to experience a foreign country. It allows you to apply the Spanish you learn in classes or at your internship/volunteer position to a home situation. It also introduces you to real Ecuadorian culture and allows you to make personal connections that will last a lifetime.
Cooking Classes
Come learn how to cook traditional Ecuadorian dishes at the El Nomad Immersion Programs's centerin Cuenca, Ecuador. Classes are offered every Tuesday at 3:00, run around 2 hours, and cost $10 per class (or $36 for one month of classes). Click here to learn more.
