Spanish Classes

Spanish classes - help build your language base or improve the Spanish you already know
Today, almost 500 million people worldwide speak Spanish, making it the world’s third most spoken language. El Nomad’s Spanish classes are run through the Universidad de Cuenca, an accredited institution of higher education. Both private and group classes are together and will help build your language base or improve the Spanish you already know.

University-level Spanish Courses
We work with one of the most prestigious universities in Cuenca, and one of the finest in Ecuador. It was founded over one hundred years ago as a public university, and is accredited by the Ministerio de Educacion del Ecuador (The Ecuadorian Ministry of Education). It currently boasts around 12,000 students and is home to many poets, writers, artists, and philosophers.

El Nomad's Spanish language courses through this university offer both Spanish langauge courses and special topics in Latin American Culture and Literature in both English and Spanish. The Philosophy Faculty and the Department of Languages run all language programs and bring more than forty years of experience in language instruction to the classroom.

Transcripts and Credits
Upon program completion, a certificate with the level achieved, grades, number of hours completed, and number of credits earned will be sent to your home institution or study abroad office. This certificate will bear the seal of the university's General Secretary of the School of Philosophy.
